What Is Direct Billing?
Direct billing means that, when eligible, Golden Palm can submit your massage therapy claim directly to your insurance provider after your appointment.
Instead of paying the entire treatment fee and submitting the claim yourself, your insurance provider may pay its eligible portion directly to Golden Palm.
You are responsible for any amount not covered by your plan.
Coverage is determined by your individual insurance policy.
How Does Direct Billing Work?
1. Book Your Appointment
Choose your massage therapy appointment with a member of the Golden Palm team.
2. Provide Your Insurance Information
Before or during your appointment, we’ll need the information required to submit your claim.
This may include:
- Insurance company
- Policy or plan number
- Member/certificate number
- Your relationship to the primary policyholder
- Other information required by your insurer
3. We Submit Your Claim
After your treatment, Golden Palm can submit the eligible claim to your insurance provider when direct billing is available for your plan.
4. You Pay the Remaining Balance
If your insurance covers only part of the treatment, you pay the remaining amount.
Your exact coverage depends on your insurance plan.
Which Insurance Companies Can Golden Palm Direct Bill?
Direct billing availability can vary depending on your specific plan, practitioner qualifications, treatment type and insurer requirements.
Golden Palm works with many major insurance providers.
Before your appointment, we recommend checking your benefits plan to confirm:
- Massage therapy coverage
- Your annual or per-visit maximum
- Your reimbursement percentage
- Whether a physician’s referral is required
- Whether your practitioner is eligible under your plan
- Whether your plan supports direct billing
Don’t Know If You’re Covered?
That’s okay.
If you’re unsure about your coverage, contact your insurance provider or speak with our team before your appointment.
We’ll help you understand what information is needed to submit your claim.
How Much Will My Insurance Cover?
Every benefits plan is different.
For example, your plan may cover a percentage of your treatment up to a specific annual maximum.
Your insurance provider determines your eligible coverage — not Golden Palm.
Example:
If your treatment is $120 and your plan covers 80%, your insurer may cover $96, leaving a $24 balance.
This is only an example. Your actual coverage may be different.
What If I Don’t Have Insurance?
You can still book with Golden Palm.
You do not need insurance coverage to receive our services.
Our team welcomes clients who are paying privately and those using eligible workplace or personal benefits.
Can I Use My Benefits for Other Services?
Coverage varies by insurance provider and individual benefits plan.
Massage therapy is commonly included in extended health benefits, but other Golden Palm services may have different eligibility requirements.
If you’re interested in:
- Massage Therapy
- Manual Osteopathic Therapy
- Reflexology
- Reiki
