Key Responsibilities:
- Perform professional, client-centered massage therapy sessions using a variety of modalities (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release).
- Conduct thorough initial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Maintain detailed and accurate client treatment records.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism in the treatment room.
- Educate clients on posture, stretching, and self-care to support their treatment goals.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and welcoming clinic culture.
What You Bring:
- Required: Valid registration with a recognized massage therapy association in Alberta (e.g., Natural Health Practitioners of Canada – NHPC, Canadian Massage & Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association – CMMOTA, or equivalent).
- Required: Professional liability insurance.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a client-centered approach.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply; mentoring is available.
Bonus Assets: Experience in a clinical or spa setting, and knowledge of additional modalities (e.g., cupping, hot stone, prenatal).
Job Details & Benefits:
- Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract (36 months)
- Pay: 60/40 split Treatment (based on experience, clientele and qualifications the amount on the split could be hight)
- Schedule: Part-time or Fulltime, 15 – 30 hours per week. Flexible scheduling options available.
- Work Location: In-person at our clinic in Edmonton, Alberta.
- Language: English (required)
